A platform for talented designer makers and crafts people to showcase and sell their work.

Attracting over 500 visitors to view, buy and commission exquisite, eclectic works by East London makers.

Speakers and visitors expressed the view that the combined opportunity to exhibit and sell in the Hothouse Gallery was groundbreaking, and offered Makers an opportunity share and reflect on their practice. Makers commented on the excellent feedback they received throughout the weekend with many keen to continue this as an annual event.

With their unusual brand of humour underpinned by some seriously fast pom pom making Cast Off ran an afternoon workshop for aspiring pom pommers of all ages

Sydney was joined by Piers Roberts from Designers Block and Maker Jess Shaw www.jessshaw.com for this lively and informative discussion that considered the complex relationship between maker, buyer and curator.
